Opportunity:

A major multidisciplinary client is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Ecologist to join their London ecology team. As the new Senior Ecological Consultant, you’ll be joining a diverse, growing team full of like-minded individuals, all with the same goal of promoting nature positive, sustainable developments. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, across a diverse range of sectors, ensuring that things stay fresh and interesting. As a Senior Ecologist, you’ll also have a clear path of progression laid out for you, with continued professional development and a supportive senior team guiding you to become the best ecologist you can be!

Responsibility:

As the new Senior Ecologist on the team, your responsibilities will include:

* Taking the lead on a wide variety of ecological surveys, managing junior team members throughout.
* Supporting on the inception and implementation of mitigation strategies.
* Conduct protected species and UKHabs surveys for a variety of species.
* Produce a range of reports including PEAs and EcIAs.
* Act as a professional point of contact, liaising with clients & key stakeholders, offering advice when necessary.
* Develop & maintain new and existing client relationships with the aim of winning more work for the company.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Senior Ecologist position, you should aim to meet as much of the following as possible:

* At least 4 years of experience in ecological surveying.
* Member of a relevant professional body.
* Possess strong field skills and understanding of protected species and UKHabs surveys.
* Have a strong understanding of ecological policy and legislation.
* Strong experience with producing technical reports.
* Desirable – Hold a Bat or GCN protected species licenses (level 1 or higher)
* A full UK drivers’ license
