Senior Carbon Consultant

 We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced senior carbon consultant to join a team.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and growing team across the UK and will help with the development and delivery of a pipeline of exciting and complex projects. 

 

 

So, what will you be responsible for?

 

·       Leading the delivery of carbon management, verification and validation strategies

·       Working across a broad range of clients including corporate, real estate, contractors, developers and services

·       Net Zero strategy development including alignment to relevant standards e.g. Science Based Targets.  

·       Carbon accounting, compliance, and measurement techniques and calculation methods for scopes 1-3, including in-depth understanding of scope 3 emissions sources and how to mitigate them.

·       Carbon foot-printing, verification and assurance.

·       Managing own workload to meet project deadlines.

·       Reviewing project details, engaging with clients and developing targets for sustainability strategies

·       Reviewing documentation provided by project teams, assess this against the project’s targets and provide feedback or follow-up.

·       Effective data management including setting up and maintaining project databases and project evidence trackers. 

·       Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members.

·       Producing high-quality reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams.

·       Attending site visits to review progress against various sustainability targets.

·       Assisting in preparing bids and proposals for new work.

·       Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes.

·       Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes and distribute actions.

·       Attending and contributing to team meetings.

 

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

 

·       Experienced project leader experience in a similar role.

·       Ambitious, self-motivated and enthusiastic.

·       Excellent communication, presentation and written skills.

·       Emerging business development and sales skills.

·       Thorough understanding on the construction industry and built environment. 

·       Ability to manage projects. 

·       Client relationship management skills. 

·       Proven track record of project delivery.

·       Hold a relevant degree, BA (Hons), BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher.

 

 We are also keen to know if you can offer any of these attributes:

 

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

·       Knowledge of or technical ability in sustainability/energy/renewables/built environment / environmental science related disciplines

·       Background in environmental / energy / carbon management
