Raby is without doubt one of the most impressive intact castles in the North of England. Built in the14th century by the powerful Nevill family, it has a fascinating history. Come and discover what this tremendous building and it’s parkland setting have to offer. Take an enlightening tour, enjoy a delicious lunch or explore the great outdoors.

FARMING
Our County Durham in-hand farm covers substantial areas of land between Piercebridge and Staindrop, covering both arable land alongside stock including longhorn cattle and ewes. Raby is committed to rolling out regenerative agriculture to build our legacy for future generations.
HIGH FORCE
Discover the force of nature at High Force, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in England, located at Forest-in-Teesdale, in the heart of the Durham Dales, Co. Durham.
LAND MANAGEMENT & SPORTING
Our land management department covers conservation and environmental projects, sporting and land supporting tenants on the estate.
FORESTRY
Woodland forms an integral part of the Raby Estate, with broadleaf and coniferous plantations occupying land from the high ground of the Wrekin and north Pennine moorland edges, to the lowland margins of the River Tees and the Severn.
