Mobile Plant Operative

Our new Residual Waste Plant (RWT) in Bargeddie is currently undergoing construction and is central to Scotland's ambition to deliver a zero waste, circular economy which encourages waste reduction, boosts recycling and recovers vital renewable energy from what remains.

We now have an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Plant Operative to join the team.

The Role:

As our Mobile Plant Operative, you will safely sort and separate waste types into various streams, operate static and mobile plant and generally assist in the operations of the site, as directed by the Production Manager / Production Supervisor using best possible practices.

You'll ensure the maintenance of the site's mobile and fixed plant is carried out in accordance with manufacturers' and company instructions and that any defects are reported by the approved system. Additionally, you will keep the workplace tidy and free from debris at all times.

The ideal Mobile Plant Operative:

 *Experience of operating in a production or recycling environment *CITB qualification *Forklift Truck, 360 Grab Operator and Front-End Loader Licences *Ability to recognise different types of waste streams *Able to carry out instructions and requests from management with accuracy and efficiency *Previous experience of using a mobile plant (Front End Loader, 360 Grab) *Good self-discipline and time keeping
