Environmental Consultant / Snr Consultant – Waste/Materials/Land Regeneration

The Opportunity:

The opportunity is full time, working out of our Oxford office.

The Role: 

Reporting to our Director, who leads the land regeneration, waste and construction environmental management teams, you would be responsible for developing solutions for waste and land regeneration projects. This will be a key role within the team, providing leadership and technical advice. You will be involved on projects restoring damaged industrial landscapes and sensitive environments to a new land use. You will also be working to enhance existing waste operations, through developing and implementing process monitoring, developing permit applications and procedures.

The responsibilities: 

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Developing permit applications and planning applications for waste developments;
• Developing material management plans;
• Managing data flow on the quality of waste and contaminated soils, testing requirements and sampling quality;
• Actively managing selected projects taking budgetary responsibility, quality assurance and client interaction;
• Collaborating with other team members; and
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by the Director.

What You have to Offer: 

Essential: 

• Relevant degree in environmental science/engineering or a combination as appropriate;
• Relevant experience in the environmental and waste sectors. A good understanding of the waste environmental permitting regime will be highly beneficial;
• Good report writing;
• Effective communicator;
• Proficient in Word and Excel;
• Experience of successfully managing projects to time and budget, delivering client satisfaction;
• Good knowledge and experience of commercial aspects of projects; and
• Driving Licence.

Desirable: 

• Relevant chartership with post-graduate qualification; and
• Experience delivering operational waste projects.
