Key Responsibilities:

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead Acoustic Projects: Deliver high-quality acoustic consultancy projects independently, ensuring excellence in every aspect.
  • Drive Business Development: Play a crucial role in expanding the firm's client base and market presence.
  • Produce Top-Notch Reports: Prepare detailed and precise technical reports, showcasing your expertise and attention to detail.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise confidently with clients, local authorities, and regulators, maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Project Management: Prepare project proposals, define budgets, and manage projects efficiently from start to finish.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: An Honours or Masters Degree in Acoustics (or a related field) is essential.
  • Professional Membership: Associate or full membership of the Institute of Acoustics is required.
  • Driving Licence: A full U.K. driving licence with a clean record is necessary.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Construction Noise Assessment: Expertise in creating and managing plans according to the BS 5228 standard.
  • Environmental Noise Impact Assessment: Proficiency in assessing noise for industrial facilities in line with the BS 4142 standard.
  • Transportation Noise Assessments: Experience with road traffic and railway noise impact assessments to support planning applications.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Skilled in working with local authorities and navigating the planning process, UK noise policy, and guidance.
  • Environmental Permitting: Knowledge of PPC/EP regulatory regimes and collaboration with environmental regulators.
  • Acoustic Modelling: Strong capabilities in acoustic modelling are highly valued.

Desirable Experience:

  • Industrial Noise Attenuation: Solutions for reducing industrial noise.
  • Windfarm Noise Assessments: Evaluating noise impacts for windfarm projects.
